MP35N Wire

MP35N is an age hardenable, Nickel-Cobalt base alloy that has a unique combination of properties - ultra high strength, toughness, ductility and outstanding corrosion resistance. MP35N resists corrosion in hydrogen sulphide, salt water and other chloride solutions. It also has excellent resistance to crevice and stress corrosion cracking in sea water and other hostile environments. MP35N is recommended for applications where a combination of high strength, high modulus values, and good corrosion resistance are required.

Nickel Wires and Nickel Alloy Wires

  • JLC 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with superior resistance to nitriding and carburization. It has high scaling resistance up to 1000 °C.
It is usually selected for applications which require resistance to corrosion and heat such as industrial furnaces.
  • JLC 800 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with excellent resistance to oxidation, nitriding and hydrogen embrittlement. It is mainly used in wire mesh and filters for chemical and petrochemical industry.
  • Known as commercially pure wrought Nickel, this alloy has good mechanical properties and excellent corrosion resistance to alkalis i.e.. sodium hydroxide. It also has good electrical, thermal and magneto-strictive properties. Applications include food and synthetic fibre processing, heat exchangers, chemical and electrical industries.
  • A commercially pure Nickel (typically 99.6% Ni), Nickel 201 is essentially the same as Nickel 200, but with a lower Carbon content to prevent embrittlement by inter granular carbon at temperatures over 315° C (600° F). Lower carbon content also reduces hardness. Applications include: food and synthetic fibre processing, heat exchangers, chemical and electrical industries.
  • Nickel 205 is a wrought Nickel, similar to Nickel 200, but has compositional adjustments to enhance its performance in electrical and electronic applications.
Applications include: anodes and grids of electronic valves, lead wires, transistor housings and magnostrictive transducers.
  • Wrought Nickel strengthened with an addition of Manganese. Applications include electrical lead wires, supporting components in lamps and cathode ray tubes, electrodes in glow-discharge lamps and sparking contacts.
  • A high purity grade of Nickel which is made by powder metallurgy. Applications include: electrical resistance thermometers and various other electrical and electronic applications.
  • A wide range of Nickel and Nickel based alloys are available from JLC for core wires of welding electrodes.
Other grades of NiFe electrode core wires with Ni 36%, 40% , 45%, 50% and 70% are also available. Bimetal NiFe wires also available.
  • Other Grades are also available upon request including ER Ni CI
  • Nickel silver (also known as Alpaca) contains copper, nickel and zinc and Is a bright silver color in appearance (hence the name nickel silver).
Nickel Silver wire is manufactured in flat, round and square sections in a full range of sizes and tempers to meet customer requirements.
  • Soft Magnetic Alloys are ferromagnetic materials that have little or no retentivity. They are magnetized in a magnetic field and when removed from the field, they lose most, if not all, of the magnetism they exhibited while in the filed. SMA 50 High Permeability Alloy is one such Nickel-Iron Soft Magnetic Alloy offered by JLC
  • This is a Nickel-Iron alloy that is used for applications where magnetic shunts are used for temperature compensation. Most frequently it is used for temperature compensation in energy meters, speedometers and temperature regulation devices.

Copper Wire

Nispan / Alloy C-902 Wire

A precipitation hardenable Nickel-Iron-Chromium alloy having an outstanding controllable thermoelastic coefficient characteristics and excellent strength and oxidation resistance in high temperature atmospheres. The alloy can be processed to have a constant modulus of elasticity at temperatures -45°C to +65°C. Applications include springs in precise applications, such as watches and weighing machines.

Aluminium Wire

Phynox Wire

This Cobalt-Chromium-Nickel alloy also known as Elgiloy® gives a combination of high strength, ductility and good mechanical properties and is age hardenable. Phynox also has excellent fatigue life, corrosion resistance in numerous environments and is non-magnetic. This alloy is recommended where a high resistance to corrosion and / or low relaxation at temperatures up to 380°C are required.

SI Nickel-Chromium: Heating Element and Resistance Alloys

Rene 41 Wire

Rene 41 is an age hardenable nickel base alloy that has very high strength at elevated temperatures, particularly within the range of 650-980°C (1200 to 1800°F). Required mechanical properties can be tailored by selection of various combinations of cold work and/or heat treatments. Rene 41 also has good oxidation resistance.
Applications include after burner parts, turbine castings, bolts and other fasteners.

Resistance Wires

  • A Nickel-Copper alloy wire used mainly for its medium range electrical resistivity and very low temperature-coefficient of resistance.
Applications include power resistors, shunts, thermocouples and wire-wound precision resistors having operating temperatures up to 400°C.
  • An alloy wire used at operating temperatures up to 1200°C. Its chemical composition gives good oxidation resistance especially under conditions of frequent switching or wide temperature fluctuations.
Applications include heating elements in both domestic and industrial appliances and in control resistors.

Titanium Grade Wire

  • Known as commercially pure titanium, 115 has a high strength to weight ratio, maintained at elevated temperatures. It is a soft and ductile material, having exceptional resistance to corrosion in a wide range of severe conditions. Applications include aerospace, surgical implants, welding wire, jewellery, chemical, general engineering and weaving industries.
  • Titanium Grade 5 has good tensile properties at ambient temperature and a useful creep resistance up to 300°C. Resistance to fatigue and crack propagation is excellent. Like most Titanium alloys and grades, Grade 5 has outstanding resistance to corrosion in most natural and many industrial process environments. The ability to age harden this alloy makes it a good choice for such applications as springs, bolts, or other fasteners.
